Kenyon Sadiq had nearly as memorable start to his NFL career as possible.
During the New York Jets' 23-10 win against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.
Sadiq became only the second tight end to score a rushing touchdown in his first-career game. Perhaps Sadiq envisioned his coming differently, but they all count the same and Sadiq was not going to be fussy about it.
"It's something you dream about," Sadiq said.
Sadiq's score put the Jets up 7-0 in the first quarter and the team rolled from there... but teammates were impressed with Sadiq's efforts throughout.
"That was that first drive, (rookies) were the ones that kept it going," wide receiver Garrett Wilson told reporters.
"That's what we've seen from him," quarterback Geno Smith added. "He's a guy
that's going to make an impact. He's a professional."
Sadiq ended up finishing his first game with another three catches for 21 yards along with his score.
