David Bailey's breakout game in the NFL has officially gone down.
The New York Jets (2-3) beat the Cleveland Browns (3-2) in a 17-12 final in Week 5. The defense and Bailey is a big reason why.
The Jets were led by Bailey defensively in this one. He had three sacks in the outing and was a force throughout the game.
"It felt to know that I'm able to do this. To compete at the highest level," Bailey said via video conference. "I'm just proud of my D-line as a whole."
It's smart of the rookie to be humble and pass along credit to his teammates. But they were quick to give him deserved praise in the Jets' locker room following the win.
"That's who David is and what we expected," head coach Aaron Glenn said.

"I think some of the pressure that's been put on him is kind of unfair for a young guy. We knew he had the potential to do this and thankfully, this was the week that he did it."
