One of the most anticipated New York Jets players to watch in 2026 is sophomore offensive tackle Armand Membou. The former Missouri standout immediately met expectations. Membou was downright dominant in Sunday's 23-10 blowout Week 1 win over the Tennessee Titans.
On the opposing sideline was former Jets head coach Robert Saleh. His Titans d-line is littered with ex-Jets, including Jermaine Johnson II, Jacob Martin, and John Franklin-Myers. None of them managed to get the better of Membou at right tackle.
Jets quarterback Geno Smith was not sacked. He finished 19-of-24 in what was an extremely efficient passing performance. Smith commented after the game that he didn't believe the Titans defensive line even touched him throughout four quarters.
Membou wasn't credited with allowing a single pressure. Pro Football Focus assigned him an elite pass-blocking grade of 84.0. The Jets also ran the football effectively behind Membou (and the entire offensive line) through Breece Hall and Braelon Allen.
The Jets still have a young, rebuilding roster. Membou is among the most talented players throughout the Jets' organization. It was extremely promising to watch him dominate so many Titans defensive lineman. Hopefully Membou keeps blossoming into an elite blocker at right tackle.
