There are no more unblemished records in SEC heading into a new week. Everyone in the SEC will be heading into the Week 8 with at least one loss on their record. There are currently nine SEC teams ranked in the top 25 of the US LBM Coaches Poll.
There was a lot of shake up around the country this past weekend and some of the biggest shake up came in SEC play. Starting with the Georgia Bulldogs dropping their No. 1 spot losing to an unranked Auburn Tigers team at home 27-24. Alabama dropped back-to-back weeks by losing to Tennessee 26-10. Ole Miss made a statement by dominating Missouri 31-3. Florida gets back on the map by beating the Texas Longhorns at Texas 27-24. Kentucky took out Oklahoma 21-13.
Even though the Georgia Bulldogs took a loss
to Auburn, they still control their own destiny and will look to regroup going into their bye week. Alabama's chances to win the SEC dropped significantly following their loss to Tennessee.
Georgia and Kentucky have the best records in the SEC at 4-1, but Tennessee and Ole Miss both have one conference loss too. A logjam of seven SEC teams have seven conference losses, so there will be a ton of elimination games moving forward.
