The Ole Miss Rebels prevailed in a top-10 showdown over the LSU Tigers and coach Lane Kiffin. Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss looks like the best quarterback in the country and proved why the Rebels are contenders to win the SEC championship and return to the College Football Playoff.
Outside of Ole Miss' win, the SEC's most notable Week 3 game had to be Kentucky's 31-21 road win over the Texas A&M Aggies. Texas A&M struggled to get much established offensively and fell behind after Kentucky dominated the third quarter.
Alabama avenged last season's Week 1 loss to Florida State. The Crimson Tide poured on points in a storm-delayed win.
The Georgia Bulldogs punched Arkansas in the mouth early and often in a dominant road win. The Vanderbilt
Commodores needed a miracle NC State fumble to win at home on the last play.
Tennessee and Texas took care of inferior opposition to set up an undefeated clash between the two programs in Week 4. Florida and Mississippi State both earned shootout victories. Florida bested Auburn on the road while Mississippi State and Kamario Taylor used a 27-point second half to give South Carolina its first loss of the season.
Oklahoma and Missouri both won against non-Power Four opponents, but neither was very impressive with both teams letting lower level competition hang around.
