The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs (5-0, 3-0 SEC) host the Auburn Tigers (3-2, 1-2 SEC) in Week 7 of the college football season. Georgia has won nine straight games in the series, but Auburn will have an extra week to prepare for Georgia. The Tigers have a bye week on Saturday, Oct. 10 while Georgia will play in an emotional road game against the No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide.
This week, the SEC announced that the Georgia-Auburn game will be 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 17. The TV channel is still up in the air. The Georgia-Auburn game is competing with the Alabama-Tennessee game and the Missouri-Mississippi game in the 3:30 p.m. ET time slot. One game will be televised on ABC, another on ESPN and another on SEC Network. Georgia's home game versus Auburn could
be aired on any of those three channels. The SEC will announce the TV channel after Week 6 games conclude.
Auburn has not won at Georgia since 2005. The Tigers have struggled on offense at times during the first year of the coach Alex Golesh era. Auburn quarterback Byrum Brown presents a dual-threat challenge for Georgia. Brown is Auburn's leading passer and leading rusher.
Following the Auburn game, Georgia will have a bye week. The Bulldogs will look to continue their strong play at home against Auburn. Georgia leads the all-time series 66-56-8 over Auburn. The Dawgs and Tigers will continue playing annually under the current nine-game SEC schedule format through at least 2029.
