A former Georgia Bulldog running back didn't make an active NFL roster after final cuts. The Cincinnati Bengals cut former Georgia RB Kendall Milton, but he was brought back onto their practice squad, according to a team announcement.
Milton is still looking for his first regular-season NFL carry. Ever since the Philadelphia Eagles have picked him up as an undrafted free agent, he's been looking for playing time.
He signed with the Eagles on May 3, 2024, but he was waived on Aug. 27. The Cincinnati Bengals added him to their practice squad two days later and signed him to their active roster on Jan. 5, 2025.
Unfortunately, he didn't make the final cuts in 2025, either. He was waived again on Aug. 26, 2025and brought back onto the practice squad
the next day. He re-signed with the Bengals on Feb. 20, 2026, but he appears to be going through the same song and dance as last season.
When he was with the Bulldogs, Milton looked like another one of the Georgia running backs to carve out a solid NFL career, especially in 2022-23. He helped win the Bulldogs national championships in 2021 and 2022, but he had just 454 yards and a touchdown on 91 carries in 2020-21.
In 2022, Milton earned more carries with the Georgia Bulldogs, rushing for 592 yards and eight touchdowns on 85 carries. In 2023, he extended his production, with 790 yards and 14 touchdowns on 121 carries, including winning Orange Bowl MVP for rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries. He helped Georgia earn the largest margin of victory of any bowl game in Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) history, as they won 63-3 against the Florida State Seminoles. Hopefully, he gets a shot to play more in the NFL.
