College football fans hoping to watch ESPN's "College GameDay" in Week 0 will have to wait a little bit longer. GameDay will not attend any Week 0 game.
GameDay will not make the trip for the North Carolina-TCU game in Dublin, Ireland, or the NC State-Virginia game in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in Week 0. Other Week 0 games include Hawaii at Stanford and San Jose State at USC. Starting at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 29, fans can watch "College Football Countdown" ahead of the North Carolina versus TCU game that starts at noon.
Back in May, ESPN announced the first two shows will be in Week 1 and Week 2. GameDay will attend the Clemson Tigers at LSU Tigers game in Week 1 and the Ohio State Buckeyes at Texas Longhorns game in Week 2.
It makes sense
why GameDay is not attending any Week 0 game. GameDay has a long season ahead with the 12-team College Football Playoff. Week 0 games are fun to watch, but it is understandable that ESPN wants to limit the taxing and expensive travel.
After Week 2, GameDay has not scheduled any other locations for the rest of the season. However, we have predicted which college campus GameDay will go to every week during the 2026 college football season. We predict GameDay will attend one Georgia Bulldogs game this fall when Georgia hits the road to play the Alabama Crimson Tide on Oct. 10.
