Former Georgia Bulldogs second-round draft pick Mecole Hardman Jr. is looking for a new NFL home. The Buffalo Bills released Hardman along with a dozen other players including former Georgia defensive lineman Zion Logue ahead of the NFL's 53-man roster deadline.
Hardman is a speedy wide receiver with the ability to return punts and kickoffs. Hardman caught three passes for 17 yards and scored a touchdown in the preseason with Buffalo. He has bounced around the NFL in recent seasons after making a game-winning touchdown catch in overtime of Super Bowl 58.
Hardman is most well-known for his time with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played with the Chiefs from 2019-2024, but does not have a 300-yard receiving season since 2021, which was his third year
in the NFL.
The Bowman, Georgia, product posted a 61-yard kickoff return last season with Buffalo, but he did not have any receptions and appeared in just two games. Hardman has also had NFL stints with the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers.
Bleacher Report named the Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders as possible landing spots for Hardman.
