The Georgia Bulldogs stay put as the No. 2 team in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Georgia dominated Arkansas in Week 3 with a 45-17 win on the road. UGA is ranked behind the No. 1 Texas Longhorns.
"Really proud of our guys today," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said after Georgia's win over Arkansas. "Hot environment, tough environment to come in and play. We talked all week about road games in the SEC."
Two top-10 team from last week's coaches poll suffered losses. No. 7 LSU lost 32-24 to Ole Miss in coach Lane Kiffin's return to Oxford. No. 8 Texas A&M fell at home 31-21 in an upset loss to Kentucky.
Georgia received 16 first place votes while Texas got 46 first place votes. No. 3 Notre Dame, No. 4 Indiana and No. 5 Miami round out the top five. Ole Miss
moved up to No. 6 after beating LSU.
The Bulldogs are 3-0 and play the No. 24 Oklahoma Sooners in Week 4. Oklahoma is coming off a subpar offensive performance in their 14-6 win over New Mexico.
