ESPN's "College GameDay" announced it will be on an SEC campus for the fifth time in six weeks to begin the 2026 college football season, GameDay is headed to the Alabama Crimson Tide versus Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, Oct. 10.
Last season, GameDay attended the Georgia-Alabama matchup in the 2025 SEC championship, but not during the regular season. Georgia won the SEC championship 28-7, but Alabama ended Georgia's lengthy home winning streak during the regular season.
This year, Georgia and Alabama are both looking like College Football Playoff contenders. Georgia and Alabama have two of the best offenses in the country and are both undefeated to start the season.
GameDay picked the Georgia-Alabama game over other top Week 6 games including UCLA
at Oregon, Oklahoma versus Texas, LSU versus Kentucky and more.
Last week, GameDay visited the Ohio State at Iowa game as Ohio State star receiver Jeremiah Smith proved to be too much for the Iowa defense. Among the storylines to watch will be GameDay analyst and former Alabama coach Nick Saban returning to Alabama for the show.
