Each and every season both Georgia and Alabama have deep rosters and at every single level they are ultra-talented. Alabama has a young signal caller in Keelon Russell and Georgia has a fifth year veteran in Gunner Stockton. Both quarterbacks have been playing nearly flawless up
to this point along with other players across the depth chart.
Alabama football returned 13 total starters heading into the 2026 season after losing 15 starters. It has shown to be a next man up mentality and Georgia will be able to match their talent up against the Tide's talent.
Let's take a look at six of Alabama's key players heading into the Georgia-Alabama game this weekend.
Alabama players to watch against Georgia
Keelon Russell, QB
Keelon Russell has emerged into one of the best quarterbacks in the country early on. Russell seems to be comfortable and because of that, Russell has been lighting it up through the air and on the ground. The dual-threat signal caller has 1,414 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and four rushing scores through Alabama's first five games.
Ezavier Crowell, RB
Ezavier EJ Crowell is an outstanding back who is a five-star freshman who is going to be a major force this season for the Crimson Tide. He brings a great balance for Alabama and they can rely on this freshman to make the plays needed coming out of the backfield. Crowell has 204 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 26 carries in five games.
Trae'shawn Brown, RB
Another electric playmaker for the Crimson Tide is Trae'shawn Brown. Brown is a guy who is a playmaker that can score at any time during the game. His sophomore year, he struggled a bit due to injuries and leading the nation with 13 dropped passes and only hauling in four touchdowns all year. Coleman-Williams had an incredible touchdown grab in the first-half of the Mississippi State game.
