Georgia Bulldogs on the USA TODAY preseason All-American team
Safety K.J. Boldenwas named to the first-team defense. Bolden is one of the best safeties and overall players in college football. In his sophomore season, he shined, getting 76 total tackles, 32 solo tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, five pass breakups, a fumble recovery, and a blocked punt. Bolden is a defensive back who can be in the box and help in run
support and cover receivers on the back end, having a knack for the ball. Bolden has been a leader in the defense, and his draft stock can rise in his junior season.
Bulldogs fifth-year center Drew Bobo is on the second-team offense. Bobo has dealt with some injuries, such as a foot injury last year and a finger injury, which caused him to miss some time. But Bobo has reportedly been practicing in fall camp. When on the field, Bobo has done well for Georgia, receiving a 71.6 run-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus, which was 12th among Power Four centers.
Junior cornerbackEllis Robinson IVand senior linebacker Raylen Wilsonwere on the second-team defense. Robinson has great cover skills in zone and man, allowing him to stay with speedy receivers downfield and make plays on the ball. Robinson has been talked about as a key prospect for the 2027 NFL draft.
Raylen Wilson is a fast linebacker who can go sideline to sideline and track the ball carrier as well as anyone in the SEC. He has also emerged as a leader on the defense, representing the Bulldogs at SEC media days this year. One of Wilson's better games was against Tennessee last year, where he totaled nine tackles. Wilson could've entered the 2026 NFL draft but came back for his senior year. He's definitely a player people should look out for this season and is a second-team selection.
