The Miami Dolphins are releasing former Los Angeles Chargers offensive tackle Jamaree Salyer, who is a veteran NFL player. Salyer is 26 and was a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft. He helped the Georgia Bulldogs win a national championship in 2021.
Salyer has appeared in 64 career NFL games including 40 starts with the Chargers (2022-2025). The Dolphins released Salyer after agreeing to an injury settlement. Miami originally was planning to place Salyer on season-ending injured reserve, but he plans to return later in the year when he is healthy. Salyer is dealing with a knee injury.
The former sixth-round pick should be an enticing option for teams looking to upgrade their offensive line once Salyer is healthy again. The Chargers stand out
as an obvious destination for Salyer given his history with the team. Last year. Salyer started five games and appeared in 13 contests for Los Angeles.
This offseason, Salyer signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins. It is unclear how long Salyer will need to get healthy again.
