ESPN "College GameDay" analyst Rece Davis has a new No. 1 team in his college football rankings entering Week 4. Davis is a voter in the AP Poll and now has the Ole Miss Rebels as his No. 1 team following the Rebels' 32-24 home win over the LSU Tigers and coach Lane Kiffin.
Ole Miss' win led to the Rebels jumping the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to be Davis' No. 1 team. Davis is one of only three AP voters to rank Ole Miss at No. 1.
Texas Longhorns are Davis' No. 3 team. Texas (58 first-place votes) is the vast majority of voters' top team in the AP Poll.
Following Texas, Davis has Ohio State at No. 4 and Indiana at No. 5. The GameDay host ranks Miami No. 6 and then Georgia No. 7. Georgia will have a chance to impress in Week 4 against Oklahoma, who
made the College Football Playoff last season.
Davis still has LSU at No. 8 despite LSU's loss to quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and Ole Miss. At No. 9, Davis has BYU and he rounds out his top-10 with No. 10 USC.
