The Georgia Bulldogs and Clemson Tigers have reportedly agreed to cancel four future football games according to a report from the Athens Banner-Herald. Georgia and Clemson were set to play in 2029, 2030, 2032 and 2033.
The Bulldogs and Tigers would've played in Athens in 2030 and 2032 and Clemson in 2029 and 2033. The two schools could still agree to play a neutral site game or two instead of playing home-and-home series. If that is the case, then the loser will wind up being the fans, who won't get a chance to see a premier on-campus college football game.
Georgia and Clemson reportedly both agreed to cancel the four game series in March.
In a similar move, Georgia and Florida State cancelled their home-and-home series, but will reportedly play
a neutral site game in Nashville in 2028. Georgia's nine-game SEC slate is a big factor in why Georgia's future nonconference schedule likely won't include many Power Four opponents outside of Georgia Tech.
The Bulldogs currently are slated to play Akron and Georgia Tech in nonconfence play in 2029 following the reported cancellation of the Clemson series. Georgia has one week available to play a nonconference opponent in 2029.
