The No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs play the No. 24 Florida Gators on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the usual 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff time. Georgia (6-0, 4-0 SEC) got humbled in a 27-24 loss to the Auburn Tigers in Georgia's first loss of the season. The Bulldogs have a bye week to regroup and prepare for Florida.
Florida (5-2, 3-2 SEC) is coming off a 27-24 road win over the Texas Longhorns. The Gators have found success in Year 1 of the coach Jon Sumrall era with major wins over Texas and Ole Miss. However, Florida has a pair of multi-score defeats to South Carolina and Missouri.
Which version of Florida will Georgia get when the two teams play in Atlanta? Florida quarterback Aaron Philo was a game-time decision, but did not play in the Gators' road loss to Texas.
The Gators started Tramell Jones in their upset win over Texas. Florida used a solid performance from Jones and a better defensive showing to beat Texas. Florida also has a bye week to prepare for Georgia and needs to keep winning to have a shot at the College Football Playoff.
Georgia has won five straight meetings against Florida, but that means nothing for the 2026 version of Georgia-Florida. The Gators have a good team and it did not matter that Georgia had a lengthy winning streak over Auburn entering the Bulldogs' last game.
