They earned the No. 1 spot after their dominating 41-13 win over Oklahoma. "There's something about that team, that head coach. We haven't had to see Gunner Stockton be great in the fourth quarter, but we know he can be. So I'm not even worried that they're not in a one-possession game," said Klatt.

He doesn't think Georgia is perfect, though.

"Do I still have concerns about some areas of their team? Yes, just like everybody has some flaws. I don't know how they can throw the football, and Stockton threw a pick in that game. Georgia jumped out to a 28-0

halftime lead. It was 41-13 in that game, but they only had 306 yards of total offense," said Klatt. Kirby Smart and Gunner Stockton deserve a lot of trust, but there's definitely a higher bar for the offense to clear.

Klatt brought Georgia up to No. 1 partially because he was unimpressed with what the former No. 1 Texas Longhorns delivered against Tennessee. Texas won 20-17, but the game wasn't pretty, and the Longhorns nearly lost. "I had Texas at No. 1. I was honoring that win against Ohio State, but Texas is going to drop a spot because, let's face it, that was incredibly sloppy," said Klatt.

There are a lot of new teams in his rankings. Florida and Oregon slide up into the top 10 at No. 8 and 9, respectively. LSU and Ole Miss dropped out of his top 10 from last week. "That was a resounding win, albeit at home, but a resounding win. They beat Ole Miss, and they did it with 53 rushes for 300 yards," Klatt said on Florida.

Oregon won against USC 41-27 on the road. "I don't know if I would want to play Oregon, and I certainly wouldn't want to play them in their own building," said Klatt.

With Ole Miss's and LSU's departure from the top 10, the Miami Hurricanes (No. 4) rise one spot, Notre Dame (No. 5) rises two spots, and Alabama (No. 6) rises three spots. The Indiana Hoosiers (No. 7) go down one spot after barely squeaking by Northwestern.
