Former Georgia Bulldogs All-American and college football expert David Pollack provided a positive update on his wife, Lindsey, who recently had a third surgery following her brain cancer diagnosis. Pollack shares that she is "doing great" after the surgery and thanked everyone for the support and prayers he received ahead of his wife's surgery.
"To me there is nothing better you can give someone than your prayers," Pollack said via social media. "Thank you all so much for your prayers. They are felt. Out of surgery and doing great. Step 1 (complete)."
It is great news to hear that Lindsey made it out of surgery and is doing well. Pollack has leaned on his faith during a stressful time for his family.
Pollack's son, Nicholas, is committed to playing
college football at a Georgia football rival and plays high school football for North Oconee, which is located close to Athens, Georgia. North Oconee is 4-1 to start the 2026 season. Lindsey's surgery came during North Oconee's bye week.
Pollack himself underwent a major surgery to repair a broken neck injury he suffered in 2006. Pollack's severe injury derailed his promising NFL career and forced him to pivot in life and retire from football. Pollack recovered well and served as an analyst on ESPN's "College GameDay" for several years.
Pollack continues to cover college football with On3 following his departure from GameDay. Pollack and Lindsey both founded The Pollack Foundation, which seeks to improve the lives of families in the Atlanta and Athens areas in Georgia.
