ESPN "College GameDay" analyst Rece Davis has ranked his top college football teams heading into Week 3. Davis is a voter in the AP Poll and still has the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as his No. 1 team. Davis is the only AP voter to rank Notre Dame at No. 1.
Davis ranks Note Dame No. 1 over his No. 2 team, the Texas Longhorns. Texas and quarterback Arch Manning are coming off an impressive 24-23 comeback win over the Ohio State Buckeyes, who are Davis' No. 3 team. Texas is the vast majority of voters' top team in the AP Poll.-
Following Ohio State, Davis has defending national champion Indiana at No. 4 and Miami at No. 5. He dropped his previous No. 5 team, the Oregon Ducks, to No. 21 after losing to Oklahoma State in Week 2.
The GameDay host ranks
the Georgia Bulldogs just outside the top five at No. 6. Davis is lower than the majority of AP voters on UGA. Georgia is the second-ranked team in the AP Poll behind Texas. Davis no longer ranks Georgia as his No. 1 SEC team after Texas' big win.
Following Georgia, Davis has No. 7 LSU, No. 8 Ole Miss, No. 9 BYU and No. 10 USC rounding out his top 10.
