TheGeorgia Bulldogs and Oklahoma Sooners battled it out in an SEC football showdown at Sanford Stadium on Saturday. Georgia rolled the Sooners in a 41-13 victory that was never close in the second half.
Georgia opened up a 28-0 halftime lead against the Sooners and held a three-score or more lead the entire second half. The Bulldogs took advantage of Oklahoma miscues in the win.
Here are the winners and losers from the Georgia-Oklahoma game.
Winner: Talyn Taylor
Georgia sophomore wide receiver Talyn Taylor had a day against Oklahoma. He caught four passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, leading the team in receiving. His touchdown was in the second quarter on a pass from quarterback Gunner Stockton, when he ran a post route against man coverage, creating separation
from the defender for a 35-yard score. He even had a one-handed catch on a fade route downfield while shedding the pass interference.
Taylor is emerging as one of the top pass catchers for Georgia's offense. So far through four games, he has nine catches for 169 yards and three touchdowns.

Winner: Chris Cole
Bulldogs linebacker Chris Cole had an outstanding game against Oklahoma. Cole had eight tackles, two fumble recoveries and a sack. He also returned a fumble for 82 yards and a touchdown. Cole was everywhere on the field and made things difficult for the Sooners' offense.
Loser: John Mateer
Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer has been hailed as one of the better players in college football but he struggled against Georgia. Mateer went 25 for 34 for 231 yards and two touchdowns and an interception. It's not bad from the stat sheet, but he did have a lot of missed throws and appeared to be indecisive. He also had a costly fumble that was taken back for a touchdown while driving down the field in the red zone. Turnovers continue to cost Mateer,
"We like to say that the Dawgs don't beat the Dawgs," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said after beating Oklahoma. "The Dawgs didn't beat the Dawgs today, but the Sooners in a lot of ways beat the Sooners. They gifted us multiple turnovers that could have been touchdowns and the game would have been different."
Oklahoma is now 2-2, while Georgia is 4-0. The Bulldogs will play at home against Vanderbilt next on Saturday, Oct. 3.
