The Georgia Bulldogs enter the Ole Miss Rebels game looking for a massive SEC win. Georgia (7-1, 5-1 SEC) needs to play at a high level to beat Ole Miss (6-2, 4-2 SEC) and star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.
Ahead of the Ole Miss game, Georgia coach Kirby Smart outlined the challenge his Bulldogs face. He describes the Rebels as "a really good football team" this season.
"They've done a tremendous job this year," Smart said. "They probably have the best quarterback in the country who plays at a high level. He (Chambliss) is extremely hard to defend and a great player."
Georgia plays an Ole Miss team that eliminated the Bulldogs from the College Football Playoff last season. Chambliss had some magical plays where he extended the play and burned
the Georgia defense. He will look to recreate that as Ole Miss is desperate to win since the Rebels already have two losses. A third loss would be devastating for Ole Miss' playoff hopes.
With a win, Georgia and quarterback Gunner Stockton would have a manageable path to the SEC championship with a home game against Missouri and a road game at South Carolina left.
