The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs look to beat the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Saturday, Sept. 12 to move to 2-0. Georgia (1-0) impressed in the Dawgs' season opener, which was a 63-3 walk in the park win over the Tennessee State Tigers. Western Kentucky's run defense got gashed in an embarrassing 49-14 loss to Nevada in Week 1.
The Hilltoppers (0-1) have a streak of making seven consecutive bowl games and nearly upset LSU last season when they lost 13-10. Western Kentucky will probably play better in Week 2, but they still face an uphill battle against Georgia, who is one of the deepest, most talented teams in college football.
Georgia is paying Western Kentucky a huge check to come play at Sanford Stadium. The Bulldogs will wear all-white uniforms
for the game.
The weather in Athens is expected to be much cooler than it was in Week 1 with temperatures hoovering around 85 degrees at kickoff. There is a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.
