With college football being in the middle of the season, officiating has been a major talking point. There have been numerous games where officials' calls have been questioned as to whether they made the right call. One of which has involved the Georgia Bulldogs.
On3 listed a ranking of the 10 worst officiating calls from the 2026 college football season so far. The Bulldogs made it to #2 for their game againstthe Alabama Crimson Tide, where a pass interference was not called, and Tide fans were not happy about it. After the game, Alabama fans threw bottles on the field and at Georgia players.
The play in question occurred in the fourth quarter, when Alabama receiver Rico Scott was running a go route, and Georgia safety KJ Bolden made contact
with Scott before the ball got there. No flag was thrown. Georgia later won the game, but that was a pivotal moment in the contest.
Some argued that it wasn't a catchable ball and the contact didn't interfere with the receiver. Either way, if that play goes Alabama's way, they may have one. Georgia got the victory 20-17 to put their record at 6-0 at the time.
The Bulldogs are currently 6-1 after a loss to Auburn and will face the Florida Gators on Oct. 31.
