A former Georgia Bulldog transfer linebacker just missed making an active roster. Georgia and Kentucky linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson was cut by the Baltimore Ravens in the final cuts, according to Jeff Zrebiec, The Athletic's senior staff writer for the Baltimore Ravens.
Dumas-Johnson signed with the Baltimore Ravens on Aug. 7, 2026, but he's missed several practices due to a thumb injury. He made appearances in two preseason games vs. the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings, lining up mostly in coverage. He let up just an 80.4 passer rating for throws targeted towards him, according to Pro Football Focus (subscription needed).
Dumas-Johnson has been trying to grind his way to being a full-time NFL player. The 6-foot-1, 245-pound linebacker
was an undrafted signing by the Green Bay Packers last season. Unfortunately, he was among the final cuts last season, though he was re-signed to the practice squad.
He was elevated to the active roster in Week 13 of the 2025 season, playing in two games. All of his stats come from a Week 18 game against the Minnesota Vikings, where he registered 10 tackles and one pass break-up.
Teams are still trying to coax out the form he showed in his sophomore season. In 2022, Dumas-Johnson was incredible, with 70 tackles, nine tackles for loss, four sacks, three passes defended, and a forced fumble. He earned first-team All-American and second-team All-SEC honors for that season, and he played a key role in the Bulldogs' run to the national championship in 2022.
Overall, though, Dumas-Johnson had 192 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, six passes defended two interceptions, a pick-six, two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and a scoop-and-score. He was a part of both the 2021 and 2022 Georgia squads that won the national championship, but he transferred after the 2023 season to the Kentucky Wildcats, where he finished out his collegiate career.
