The Georgia Bulldogs delivered an early knockout blow to the Oklahoma Sooners in the Dawgs' 41-13 win over the Sooners. Georgia raced out to a 28-0 lead in the win. Following the win, Georgia is the No. 2 team in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Georgia is No. 2 behind Vanderbilt.
"Excited for our guys," Georgia coach Kirby Smart
said after the Bulldogs beat Oklahoma. "They play very hard, and they got to keep getting better."Georgia forced four Oklahoma turnovers and scored 17 points off the Oklahoma miscues. Georgia got a few big plays from receiver Talyn Taylor and running back Dwight Phillips in the win.
"We like to say that the Dawgs don't beat the Dawgs," Smart continued. "The Dawgs didn't beat the Dawgs today, but the Sooners in a lot of ways beat the Sooners.
They gifted us multiple turnovers that could have been touchdowns and the game would have been different."
Next up, Georgia (4-0) hosts the Vanderbilt Commodores on Saturday, Oct. 3. Vanderbilt is coming off a loss to the Auburn Tigers.
