Former Notre Dame Fighting Irish and LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly is now a college football analyst. Kelly has predicted that the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs will lose their second game of the season to the No. 10 Ole Miss Rebels. Kelly likes for Ole Miss and quarterback Trinidad Chambliss to extend their 16-game home winning streak.
"I was down in Oxford last week, got a chance to see them (Ole Miss) play," Kelly said. "And after the game, talking to some of the players, they believe they can beat Georgia. They beat them before. Two out of three (of the last meetings between Georgia and Ole Miss).
"I think that there's just that belief. They are at home... I think they run him (Chambliss) more. It is going to be part of the offense. Not just throwing
the football. I like them in this game, Ole Miss."
Georgia has not lost a road game since losing 28-10 to Ole Miss in 2024. The Rebels, of course, beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl 39-34 last season with the Dawgs winning 43-35 in the regular season.
Georgia's pass rush is a bit more disruptive this season, so that should help the Bulldogs' cause against Ole Miss. However, Georgia's offense has been inconsistent and may not be able to keep pace with Ole Miss and Trinidad Chambliss, who Georgia coach Kirby Smart says is probably "the best quarterback in the country" and is playing at an elite level.
