The Los Angeles Chargers have released former Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland. The 6-foot-6, 350-pound offensive lineman is former Georgia Bulldogs and was a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft.
Los Angeles released Cleveland shortly before the start of training camp. Cleveland will look to land with another NFL team ahead of the preseason.
In 2025, Cleveland appeared in 10 games with the Ravens. Baltimore released Cleveland in January 2026 after he was suspended for three games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. Cleveland has played in 64 career NFL games (all with Baltimore).
After Baltimore released Cleveland, the Los Angeles Chargers signed the former Georgia offensive lineman to their practice squad. Cleveland signed a reserve/futures
contract with Los Angeles after the New England Patriots eliminated the Chargers from the NFL playoffs.
Cleveland has positional versatility. He can play both left or right guard. The big offensive lineman also has played a significant amount of special teams snaps in his career. Cleveland had connections to the Chargers' coaching staff and front office, but it was not enough for him to stick around for training camp.
