ESPN "College GameDay" host Rece Davis has ranked his top college football teams after a Week 1 where the favorites won for the most part. Davis, who is a voter in the AP Poll, will attend GameDay's trip to Austin, Texas, for Week 2 of the college football season as Texas hosts Ohio State.
Davis has the Notre Dame Fighting Irish
as his No. 1 team. Notre Dame demolished Wisconsin 41-13 to open the season.Interestingly, Davis did not change any of his top-seven after Week 1. His first major rankings change came at No. 8. He now has the LSU Tigers as his No. 8 team after coach Lane Kiffin and LSU dominated the Clemson Tigers in a 51-10 home win.
Following Notre Dame, Davis ranks Ohio State at No. 2 and Indiana at No. 3. Davis has Miami as his No. 4
team and Oregon at No. 5. Oregon survived an upset bid from Boise State in Week 1.
The GameDay host ranks the Georgia Bulldogs as his No. 6 team. Davis is lower than the majority of AP Poll voters on UGA and ranks Georgia outside of his top five. Georgia is the second-ranked team in the AP Poll. He still ranks Georgia as his top SEC team.
