The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs begin SEC play on the road against the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 3 of the college football season. Georgia travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to play the Razorbacks in what will be Georgia's first trip to Arkansas since 2020.
Prior to Week 3, Georgia plays Western Kentucky at home at 12:45 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept 12 while Arkansas plays at the No. 20 Utah Utes at 10:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 12. Georgia has a bit of a rest advantage against Arkansas, which drew criticism from the Razorbacks' athletic director Hunter Yurachek this offseason.
"I am extremely concerned and displeased about the recently released kickoff times for our football program in consecutive weeks this September and the impact it will have
on the well-being of our student athletes," Yurachek said in May when the schedule was announced.
"We anticipated return to campus at approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13 (after the Utah game)," Yurachek continued. He went on to add that he considers it to be more than a "competitive disadvantage" and describes the schedule as a student athlete "welfare issue" due to the lack of recovery time.
Arkansas will be Georgia's first Power Four opponent of the season. The Dawgs are still expected to be heavy favorites over the Razorbacks, who were picked to finish last in the SEC this season.
Georgia is 12-4 in series history against Arkansas. The Bulldogs have won three straight matchups against the Razorbacks and 12 of the last 14 meetings.
