Just as the Pittsburgh Steelers appeared to be recovering from a multitude of injuries that hit the team early in 2026, a veteran defender picked up a new setback before the Week 7 Paris matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
On Wednesday's Week 7 injury report, 31-year-old defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day was held out of practice with a triceps injury.

Joseph-Day, who began his NFL career with the Los Angeles Rams (2018-2021), also played for the Los Angeles Chargers (2022-2023), San Francisco 49ers (2023) and Tennessee Titans (2024-2025) before joining the Steelers in March
2026. He has recorded 15.5 sacks and 292 combined tackles during his nine-year NFL career, along with at least 30 tackles for loss.
The severity of Joseph-Day's triceps injury and exactly when he suffered it remain unknown, but we at Steelers Wire will monitor his availability in the coming days. Being able to upgrade to even limited participation on Thursday or Friday would give the big defensive tackle a shot at suiting up for the Paris game between the Steelers and Saints.
