Injuries have decimated the Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receiver room, leaving the team down to DK Metcalf and Germie Bernard as the only reliable options in a promising offense. But there are a few interesting trade routes the Steelers can explore at wide receiver.
From a talented receiver who may see a reduced role moving forward to a pair of former first-round draft picks who could use a change of location, here's a look at three wide receiver trade targets the Steelers should pursue.
Kayshon Boutte, Houston Texans
Despite an exceptionally strong rookie season, Thomas has seen a reduced role over the past two seasons. With Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers serving as their top two wideouts, the Jaguars may be more willing to part with Thomas if the price is right. It may cost
the Steelers a late Day 2 draft pick, but Thomas' elite size-speed combination may be too valuable to pass up.
Brian Thomas Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars
Despite an exceptionally strong rookie season, Thomas has seen a reduced role over the past two seasons. Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers
The 0-5 Chargers could be headed for a fire sale with the trade deadline less than a month away, and Johnston would be a perfect target for Pittsburgh. Johnston hasn't lived up to his 2023 first-round draft status, but perhaps a change of scenery could be all he needs to get back on track. Johnston does have some drop issues he needs to clean up, but his 6-foot-2 size, elite athleticism, and deep threat capability should have Pittsburgh already making calls to a Chargers team likely already gearing up to throw in the towel in 2026.
