The Pittsburgh Steelers were once again without one of their versatile cornerbacks at practice, as a six-year veteran was held out with a lingering hamstring injury.
Courtesy of Wednesday's injury report, Steelers cornerback Brandin Echols was a non-participant due to a hamstring injury, a health setback that forced him to miss the Week 7 win over the New Orleans Saints in Paris.

Echols suffered his hamstring injury during the second quarter of the Week 6 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Echols, who began his career with the New York Jets, joined the Steelers in 2025 free agency. Echols'
outside and slot cornerback versatility paid off in a huge way for the Steelers last season, as he appeared in 16 games, including three starts, and recorded 48 combined tackles, two interceptions, and six passes defended. Through six games in 2026, Echols has played just 20 defensive snaps and 97 snaps on special teams.
We at Steelers Wire will monitor Echols' injury situation closely ahead of Week 8, with hopes that he can at least upgrade to limited participation before Sunday's game.
