Mike Tomlin may have left his head coach job with the Pittsburgh Steelers behind, but his disdain for the AFC North rival Cleveland Browns runs deep. But don't take my word for it, as the former Steelers coach completely blasted the Browns from his analyst position at NBC.
Covering the analysis of Sunday's matchups on NBC's Football Night in America, Tomlin was asked what he thought about the Browns' struggles in Week 1, which prompted the former Steelers head coach to take a shot at Cleveland.
"No, not off to a good start," Tomlin said about the Browns. "In the words of my friend JuJu Smith-Schuster, 'the Browns is the Browns.'"

Tomlin isn't wrong, as the Browns looked horrendous in their Week 1 season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. It didn't take long for Deshaun Watson to throw an interception and lose a fumble on Sunday. Cleveland's offense could barely muster 10 points. Oh, and the team's defense surrendered 34 points to the Trevor Lawrence-led Jaguars.
If there was ever a time that JuJu Smith-Schuster's infamous "the Browns is the Browns" line worked, it would definitely be Cleveland's Week 1 loss to start the 2026 season. It was so embarrassing that Tomlin couldn't help but take a shot, while also paying homage to Smith-Schuster.
