The Pittsburgh Steelers provided an important update on Joey Porter Jr., who was just activated off the physically unable to perform list.
Speculation began to swirl about whether or not Porter would actually practice as he seeks a new deal with the Steelers. Well, head coach Mike McCarthy set the record straight: Porter will practice.
"Anybody that comes in here for the first time, there's a ramp-up-type process to it," McCarthy said via Penn Live's Nick Farabaugh. "And that's what we'll look for with Joey today."

Over the past three seasons, Porter has steadily emerged as one of the league's top lockdown cornerbacks. Looking to possibly reset the cornerback market, Porter has been linked as a potential holdout candidate. It appears, though, that the Steelers expect him to practice, but we'll provide any additional information as the situation unfolds.
