Joey Porter Jr. has been linked to more trade rumors than fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers are comfortable with. And in this new mock draft, the Steelers did exactly that: trading Porter to the Detroit Lions for a first-round pick.
Using Pro Football Focus' draft projections, in which the Steelers picked No. 13 overall and received the Lions' No. 28 overall pick in exchange for Porter, here's a look at a 2027 first-round mock draft.
First round: CB Ellis Robinson IV, Georgia
Pittsburgh finds its replacement for Porter with Robinson, a ball-hawking cornerback who led the SEC with four interceptions in his first year as a starter in 2025. He also returned one of those interceptions for six points and has shown a willingness to jump routes with the utmost confidence. As a bonus, Robinson's
film shows that he doesn't shy away from tackling or run support either.
First round (trade with Lions): WR Cam Coleman, Texas
Pittsburgh upgraded the wide receiver position in a huge way this offseason. Well, Coleman would definitely be the final missing piece. Despite inconsistent quarterback play at Auburn, Coleman recorded 1,306 yards and 13 touchdowns over the past two seasons. At 6-foot-3, Coleman is a contested-catch machine with solid speed who could quickly develop into a top wide receiver in the NFL.
