Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is one the most polarizing signal callers in the league, but Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers set the record straight: he's a fan of the NFC East QB.
Speaking with Cameron Heyward on a new episode of his podcast, Rodgers stated that he doesn't understand why Dak catches a lot of flak for his play, as in his eyes, he's an outstanding quarterback.
"You saw what happened in Dallas, I feel like Dak was playing some damn good football," Rodgers said. "I don't want to say that's all because of Mike [McCarthy] 'cause I'm actually — I don't know people rip on Dak all the time — but I'm a big Dak fan. I like the way he plays."
Rodgers went on the praise Prescott's performance from the 2021 season, pointing
out that the Cowboys and Packers had similar opponents that year and he saw a lot of "really good football" out of Dallas' quarterback.
Prescott and Rodgers last faced off when the Packers defeated the Cowboys 31-28 in overtime in November 2022. The two quarterbacks likely won't face off again before Rodgers retires, but hearing the respect he shares for Prescott was a welcomed surprise.
