A trade possibility may be emerging for the Pittsburgh Steelers following an exciting roster move ahead of Week 6.
On Monday, the Steelers
brought back fan-favorite linebacker Elandon Roberts, one of the league's best tackling defenders, to their practice squad. But it feels like it's only a matter of time until Roberts finds his way onto the 53-man roster, which may open the door for a Patrick Queen trade.Steelers may have Patrick Queen trade hiding in plain sight after devasting injury update

Queen, like last season, hasn't looked great in 2026. Tackling inconsistency and effort concerns have characterized Queen's level of play over the past
few games. Facing an uncertain future in the final year of his contract, Queen may be closer to a Steelers exit than some realize. After all, he was heavily tied to trade rumors this offseason, and now the Steelers appear to be readying for a change at the linebacker position.
Roberts' physical style of play and heavy ties to defensive coordinator Patrick Graham may lead to a big role sooner rather than later. At the very least, the addition of Roberts signals an upcoming linebacker rotation, which leaves Queen as the odd man out. Payton Wilson has been solid, Cole Holcomb has been serviceable, and Carson Bruener is an incredible special teamer. Queen is also carrying an ugly $17 million cap hit this season, which may factor into a potential trade.
Don't get it twisted: Queen is a valued leader for the Steelers. But whether you love him or hate him, the addition of Roberts certainly reignited Queen trade buzz.
