Last week, former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. forced the hand of the Pittsburgh Steelers and got himself traded to the Dallas Cowboys. Now, just days later, Porter Jr. is set to make his debut as a member of the Cowboys against the Houston Texans. This is according to multiple sources, including ESPN NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler.
Porter Jr. spent much of Steelers training camp and preseason feigning a back injury to mask a contract holdout and when the two sides couldn't agree to terms on an extension by the start of the season, Porter Jr. continued the charade to ensure he was traded. Now, even without a new contract, Porter Jr. is in Dallas, suddenly healthy and ready to play for the Cowboys. The trade netted the Steelers a second-round
pick in the 2028 NFL draft and a sixth-round pick in 2027.
Joey Porter Jr. is set to play for the Dallas Cowboys days after being traded from Pittsburgh, but the team is expected to limit his snaps vs Houston.

One source estimated about 30 snaps or so, depending on the flow of the game.
