The Pittsburgh Steelers saw one of their key contributors on offense go down with an injury in Week 2, but a new report indicates that the team may have dodged a bullet.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Steelers running back Rico Dowdle, who suffered a seemingly serious toe injury in Week 2, is considered day-to-day following initial tests.
"Rico Dowdle, who was carted to the locker room on Sunday with a toe injury, checked out relatively OK following tests," Rapoport wrote via X. "He's considered to be day-to-day."

Dowdle, who appeared to injure his toe while chasing down Aaron
Rodgers' fumble in the second quarter, entered the blue medical tent and was carted to the locker room. He was deemed questionable to return but reentered the game in the second half. Unfortunately, Dowdle returned to the medical tent and was ruled out early in the fourth quarter.
Through two games, Dowdle hasn't looked particularly great, recording just 37 rushing yards on 15 attempts. But most of the blame can be placed on the subpar offensive line failing to open up rushing lanes.
