An interesting potential trade partner has emerged for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph following a devastating injury update pertaining to a young and promising quarterback.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, who suffered an apparent leg injury in Week 2, is seeking more medical opinions on his setback, which may require season-ending knee surgery. This obviously leaves the Giants as a potential trade suitor for Rudolph.
"Giants QB Jaxson Dart is getting additional medical opinions on his injured knee that will determine whether to have surgery, which in turn will determine whether he can return this season or not," Pelissero wrote via X. "For now, he’s out indefinitely, as ESPN reported.

In Dart's absence, Winston went 11-for-27 passing, throwing for just 111 yards, zero touchdowns, one interception, and a dreadful 37.7 passer rating. For reference, if Winston had spiked the ball on every pass attempt, he would've received a 39.6 passer rating.
Rudolph would be a clear upgrade over Winston and would help the Giants stay competitive on offense. But it remains to be seen if New York is interested in making a move at this time.
