The Pittsburgh Steelers' multi-year mission to rebuild their offensive line has found its central anchor in center Zach Frazier. Delivering a commanding performance against the New Orleans Saints, Frazier demonstrated the elite physical dominance and consistency that is quickly placing him in the spotlight for first-team All-Pro honors.
During the post-game review on the “Locked on Steelers” podcast, host Christopher Carter emphasized how Frazier’s stellar play in high-profile windows is capturing the attention of national voters.
"Zach Frazier was just dominant. That's one of those stamp the game," Carter stated. "That's one that I think everyone in the country was probably watching because it was the Sunday morning game, so it's the only game on.
That's one of those when the voters see that and they're like, 'Hey, that guy's pretty good. Who is that guy? Oh, that's Zach Frazier. Oh, I heard about him. Time to put him on my AP ballot for first team All-Pro this year.'"
Co-host Alan Saunders underscored Frazier's rare level of game-to-game reliability, noting how seldom the young center makes negative plays.
"How many times have we come on here on a Tuesday and given skulls to Zach Frazier? Once, twice, maybe. Don't happen," Saunders highlighted. "And so when you have that real high level of consistency and then you can sprinkle in some days like Sunday where he's just racking shop. It's been throughout no matter who the competition has been."
Rookie interior linemen often face a learning curve before receiving widespread acclaim, but Frazier’s combination of technical precision and raw power has accelerated his timeline. By consistently winning at the point of attack and leading Pittsburgh’s bruising rushing attack, Frazier is establishing himself as one of the premier centers in the NFL and a legitimate candidate for postseason honors.
