On Thursday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers went into Cleveland with the lead in the AFC North on the line and fell flat to the Browns. Pittsburgh put together a late rally but fell to the Browns 27-24, dropping them to 2-2 on the season. Here are our big takeaways from the loss.
The streak continues
Thursday's loss means the Steelers are now 0-10 in divisional road games played on Thursday night.
Trade Patrick Queen now
Watching Patrick Queen give up on a play Thursday was enough that we are convinced he needs to be traded for either a wide receiver or a cornerback and let Payton be the lead guy at middle linebacker with Nick Herbig.
The offense has no playmakers
Seeing this game unfold from All-22 told a grim tale. The Browns played man and the Steelers receivers and tight ends are incapable of gaining any separation
in coverage.
Tackling was abysmal
The Steelers defense has too many huge salaries and too many high draft picks for the tackling to be as awful as it is.
Cornerback is already a problem
We didn't expect Joey Porter Jr. to play but with an injury to Jamel Dean, cornerback might be the biggest worry on the roster followed closely by safety.
Offensive line came back to Earth
After a huge game against the Bengals, the new-look Steelers line was brought back to Earth against a no-name Browns defensive front that just bullied them all game long.
