There were several former Pittsburgh Steelers players that began their 2026 season with a bang, and some with a dud, like Broderick Jones or Kaleb Johnson's debuts with their respective new teams. But Dan Moore Jr.'s second-year regular season opener with the Tennessee Titans was filled with both ups and downs.
Here's a look at how Moore performed, including his snap count, as well as what fans can expect from Moore in 2026 and beyond.
Dan Moore Jr.'s Week 1 performance
Per Pro Football Focus, Moore's performance in the Titans' Week 1 matchup against the New York Jets was a bit hit-or-miss. He was excellent in run blocking, recording an 81.7 grade in that area. But as a pass blocker, where he also struggled mightily with the Steelers, Moore surrendered one sack and two pressures
for a mediocre 55.1 pass-blocking grade.
What to expect from Dan Moore Jr. moving forward
Considering that Moore is only two years into a four-year deal with the Titans and how difficult it is to find a starting-caliber offensive tackle, it's safe to say he'll remain a big part of Tennessee's offense for a while. Moore previously led the league in a stat no offensive lineman should be proud of, with 12 sacks allowed in 2024, and allowed another eight sacks in 2025, so it's also fair to predict that the sack numbers could be sky-high once again this year.
