There's been plenty of buzz surrounding the NFL's Week 7 Paris matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints, and veteran defender Cameron Heyward just shed some light on one key detail regarding the team's departure.
According to Heyward on a recent episode of his podcast, the Steelers plan on leaving Thursday, which gives the team approximately 50-55 hours of time to get adjusted to the new time zone.
"We are heading to Paris Thursday night," Heyward said. "Arrive Friday morning."
NFL fans saw firsthand what poor international travel plans can do to a team, as the Los Angeles Rams were terribly unprepared with just around 24 hours of time in their Week 1 game in Australia. It's clear that the Steelers are hoping to avoid such
a disastrous situation for their Week 7 game against a Saints team coming off a huge win over the New York Giants.
Although there's a lot of chatter concerning the team's travel plans, there's also significant civil unrest ongoing in Paris, France, at the moment, but the NFL is reportedly set on continuing with the Steelers-Saints matchup anyway.
