Joey Porter Jr. didn't confirm he'd play for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Week 3 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he certainly added some fire to Sunday's game following his comments on Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
Porter, who missed the first two games of the season with a back/conditioning issue, reminded reporters that he doesn't need to shake the rust off if he plays this Sunday against Chase and Higgins, as he's found success when matching up against them.
"I played them six times," Porter told reporters. "Tee and Chase, five times each, cause they were both hurt one time out of the six. I feel like I have a good indication on those guys and what they like to do. I never really struggled against them, so it's always been fun
for me getting out there with them."

Yikes. If that wasn't a shot at Chase and Higgins, it's hard to imagine what would be. But Porter's comments come as no surprise, as Pittsburgh's secondary likely carries a lot of animosity toward Chase following his disgusting actions, in which he spat in Jalen Ramsey's face midgame.
If Porter suits up this Sunday and makes his 2026 season debut against the Bengals, Chase and Higgins will no doubt have something to prove following his comments. But they'll also have to get through the rest of the Steelers' No. 6-ranked pass defense.
