Injuries have begun to pile up for the Pittsburgh Steelers, especially when it comes to the offensive side of the ball. One of the team's star wide receivers was already ruled out for the Week 2 matchup against the New England Patriots, but all eyes are on Steelers left tackle Troy Fautanu after he popped up on the injury report this week.
Courtesy of Pittsburgh's final Week 2 injury report, Fautanu, who's been battling an ankle injury, upgraded from limited to full participation during Friday's practice. Although Fautanu ultimately received a questionable status designation for Week 2, finishing out practice as a full participant is a great sign for his potential availability on Sunday.

Fautanu, drafted by the Steelers in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, dealt with plenty of injuries during his rookie season, including a season-ending knee dislocation. He bounced back in a huge way in Year 2 at right tackle, but the transition to left tackle in 2026 hasn't gone as smoothly as fans hoped.
If Fautanu can't suit up for Sunday's game against New England, starting right tackle Dylan Cook will likely move back to the left side, while rookie Max Iheanachor will start on the right. Pittsburgh should confirm Fautanu's game status around 90 minutes before kickoff, when the inactive list is revealed, which we at Steelers Wire will cover extensively.
