The final roster cuts have arrived, which means there's no more speculating as to what the Pittsburgh Steelers will do with their quarterback room.
On NFL roster cutdown day, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Steelers indeed plan to keep four quarterbacks on their 53-man squad: Aaron Rodgers, Mason Rudolph, Will Howard, and Drew Allar.

Four-man quarterback rooms are rare when it comes to 53-man rosters, which is why many assumed the loser of the QB2 battle between Rudolph and Howard would get a one-way ticket out of Pittsburgh. But the Steelers apparently erred on the side of caution,
opting to keep two veterans and two young quarterbacks heading into the 2026 season.
Surprisingly enough, the Steelers aren't the only AFC North team to bring four quarterbacks onto their roster, as the Cleveland Browns are expected to keep Deshaun Watson, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel (IR), and rookie Taylen Green in their 2026 quarterback room.
With the Steelers set to keep four quarterbacks, other positions will unfortunately see their depth tested, as evidenced by the recent releases of fan-favorite linebacker Elandon Roberts and 32-year-old veteran defensive lineman Dean Lowry.
