The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly sent trade offers to the Indianapolis Colts for one of their star wide receivers.
According to NFL reporter Evan Sidery, the Steelers and Chiefs have both sent offers containing Day 3 draft picks to the Colts for wide receiver Josh Downs. Indianapolis is reportedly seeking a third-round pick
for Downs, but a Day 3 pick appears to be more realistic."The Chiefs and Steelers have both offered Day 3 draft compensation to the Colts for Josh Downs," Sidery wrote via X. "After requesting a trade this week, a Downs deal is expected to go down after this weekend. Indianapolis will likely fetch a 4th or 5th-round pick for Downs after originally seeking a 3rd."

Downs, who was drafted by the Colts in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has recorded 224 catches for 2,447 yards and 11 touchdowns in 54 games. He remains an underappreciated route runner who excels at creating separation and making big plays for the offense out of the slot.
