If it wasn't for a fourth-quarter resurgence, the Pittsburgh Steelers would've lost their third game of the regular season to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6, with much of the blame falling on an offense that just couldn't get anything going during the first half. Luckily, the Steelers were able to score 16 points in the fourth quarter and seven points in overtime, but the newly released Pro Football Focus grades have given us a better idea of which players were most responsible for the near-blunder.
From three tight ends who had mediocre performances to two wide receivers who were just elevated to the team's active roster, here's a look at the Steelers' worst PFF grades on offense.
Worst grades on offense
- 5. TE Robert Tonyan — 56.5
- 4. WR Brandon Johnson — 56.2
- 3. TE Darnell Washington — 54.9
- 2. WR Brandon Smith — 50.9
- 1. TE Pat Freiermuth — 43.4
